Prioritizing Well-being of Oregon's Nursing Professionals

Oregon’s healthcare system depends on the well-being of its nurses—including LPNs, RNs, APRNs, and their support staff. However, workplace stress, systemic barriers, and burnout are pushing nurses to the limit. The RN Well-Being Project is a collaborative effort to drive real change, spearheaded by the Oregon Center for Nursing (OCN).

We’re raising awareness about mental and emotional well-being, equipping nursing leaders to support their teams, and helping employers implement workplace solutions that reduce stress and burnout. This isn’t just about individual self-care—it’s about fixing the system. OCN is funding innovative projects across Oregon to find the lasting, workplace-driven changes organizations can make that helps nurses thrive.

Recognizing Oregon’s diverse and varied regions and healthcare employers, the project aims to fund projects from around the state to implement powerful changes and help Oregon’s nurses return to wellness.
