Well-Being Initiatives

Through statewide research and programming, such as nurse well-being grants, the project is generating real-world evidence to improve workplace conditions, support mental health, and enhance job satisfaction for nurses. By addressing burnout and systemic stressors, we aim to create sustainable solutions that foster resilience and career longevity.

Survey Insights

The 2022 RN Well-Being Survey was a statewide research effort to capture the experiences and challenges faced by nurses across Oregon. This survey provides critical insights into workplace conditions, mental health concerns, and job satisfaction, helping to shape policies and programs that support nurse well-being. By amplifying nurses’ voices, we aim to drive meaningful change and create healthier, more supportive work environments.

Well-Being Grants

OCN has awarded more than $800,000 in funding to improve healthcare worker well-being in the workplace through nurse-informed and guided projects. The funded projects range from resilience training and peer support programs to workplace redesigns and leadership development opportunities.  These grants also empower nurses to take an active role in shaping healthier work environments.
