After speaking with hundreds of nurses, we know just how far listening can go. Listening helps nurses feel less alone, more supported, and more hopeful. But we also know that the stressors of the profession are significant enough that conversation alone falls short. Oregon’s nursing professionals need action.
That’s why we funded 18 pilot projects to test evidence-based interventions addressing nurse burnout and workplace stressors. The selected projects launched in 2023 and ran for 2 years.
This summer, we will publish a portfolio of the work, complete with the results of each project and analysis of the overall efficacy of the combined projects. We will share it with everyone who has opted-in for OCN email updates.
Advancing the institutionalization of wellness for all nurses, this project will create a podcast that strengthens the psychological resilience of BIPOC and non-BIPOC nurses.
